1. Why is Thane conducting this Corrective Action for the H20 MOP®?

The power cord can unexpectedly wear down and expose the wiring, posing a shock and burn hazard.

2. How can I tell if my H20 MOP® is included in the Corrective Action recall?

You can verify if your H20 MOP® is subject to the Corrective Action by visiting www.h2omopservice.com or by calling 1-800-485-0017.

3. How can I take advantage of the Corrective Action Plan?

If your H20 MOP® was purchased by calling an 800# on a TV Infomercial or purchased online at www.thane.com you will automatically be mailed a Cord Holder Kit to install on your H20 MOP®.

If your H20 MOP® was purchased through QVC, a retail outlet, an online retailer other than thane.com, or through a catalog, you can register for the Corrective Action recall online at www.h2omopservice.com or by calling 1-800-485-0017.

4. What is the problem with the H20 MOP®?

The power cords on H2O MOPs manufactured from May 2007 through July 2008 and sold from June 2007 through approximately December 2008 can be subject to premature wear due to excessive twisting and pulling where the cord enters the main body of the H20 MOP®. In some cases this premature wear can cause damage to the cord presenting a shock or burn hazard.

5. My H20 MOP® appears to be operating okay. Can I continue to use it?

If your H20 MOP® is not included in the Corrective Action it is safe to use. If your H20 MOP® is subject to the Corrective Action then you must immediately stop using the product until you have received and installed your Cord Holder Kit. The Corrective Action only includes H2O MOPs with the following reference numbers printed on the small label on the back of the product.

Products sold in the US by QVC: 200709198 through 200803148
Products sold in the US directly by Thane or by other retailers: H20M1000 through M-H2OM1198.

6. I no longer have the receipt for the product. Can I still participate in the Corrective Action?

Yes. If your H20 MOP® was purchased by calling an 800# on a TV Infomercial or purchased online at www.thane.com you will automatically be mailed a Cord Holder Kit to install on your H20 MOP®.

If your H20 MOP® was purchased through QVC, an online retailer other than thane.com, or through a catalog, you can register for the Corrective Action Plan online at www.h2omopservice.com or by calling 1-800-485-0017.

7. Can I get a refund for my H20 MOP®?

No. If your H20 MOP® was purchased by calling an 800# on a TV Infomercial or purchased online at www.thane.com you will automatically be mailed a Cord Holder Kit to install on your H20 MOP®.

If your H20 MOP® was purchased through QVC, an online retailer other than thane.com, or through a catalog, you can register for the Corrective Action recall online at www.h2omopservice.com or by calling 1-800-485-0017.

8. How long will it take for me to receive the Cord Holder Kit?

If your H20 MOP® was purchased by calling an 800# on a TV Infomercial or purchased online at www.thane.com your Cord Holder Kit with complete installation instructions will be automatically mailed to you over the next 30 days. If your H20 MOP® was purchased through QVC, a retail outlet, an online retailer other than thane.com, or through a catalog, your Cord Holder Kit will be mailed to you within 2 weeks of the time you register for the Corrective Action.

9. Will I be able to repair the H20 MOP® myself?

Yes. The Cord Holder Kit comes with complete step-by-step instructions and contains everything you need to easily complete installation.

10. What do I do if my mailing address has changed and my H20 MOP® was purchased by calling an 800# on a TV Infomercial or at www.thane.com?

If your mailing address has changed and you have completed a mail forwarding request with the US Postal Service your Cord Holder Kit should be forwarded to your new address. If you have not completed a mail forwarding request with the US Postal Service then you will need to register your H20 MOP® for the Corrective Action online at www.h2omopservice.com or by calling 1-800-485-0017.

11. I purchased more than one H20 MOP®. Will I get one Cord Holder Kit for each H20 MOP® purchased?

If you purchased your products by calling an 800# on a TV Infomercial or purchased online at www.thane.com you will automatically be mailed a Cord Holder Kit for every affected Mop our records indicate we shipped to you. If your H2O MOPs were purchased through QVC, a retail outlet, an online retailer other than thane.com, or through a catalog, you will need to register each mop individually. You can register for the Corrective Action online at www.h2omopservice.com or by calling 1-800-485-0017.

12. I gave my H20 MOP® to someone as a gift. Will they receive notification of the Corrective Action recall and a Cord Holder Kit?

No. If you have an H20 MOP® that is subject to the Corrective Action Recall and you purchased your product by calling an 800# on a TV Infomercial or purchased online at www.thane.com a Cord Holder Kit will automatically be mailed to the address the product was originally shipped. If you no longer have the product, please forward the Cord Kit Holder to the person who now has possession of the product.

If you are unable to forward the Cord Kit Holder or the product was purchased through QVC, a retail outlet, an online retailer other than thane.com, or through a catalog please instruct the person who now has possession of the H20 MOP® to register the product online at www.h2omopservice.com or by calling 1-800-485-0017.

13. I have received my Cord Holder Kit but the Assembly Instructions or other parts were not included.

If you have received your Cord Holder Kit and the assembly instructions were not included, you can print or download the assembly instructions online at www.h2omopservice.com or you may contact our H20 MOP® Corrective Action customer support line toll-free at 800-598-0100.

14. I have received my Cord Holder Kit and I am not sure if the power cord is damaged.

If you have received your Cord Kit Holder and are unsure if the power cord is damaged, please do not proceed with the installation of the Cord Kit Holder. Do not use your H20 MOP®. Call the toll-free number listed on the letter that came with your Cord Kit Holder and one of our customer support representatives will be available to assist you.
